      Teleconference Media Briefing to Discuss Rule 390 and

What:            The Securities and Exchange Commission will
                 conduct a teleconference media briefing to
                 discuss the New York Stock Exchange's proposal
                 to rescind Rule 390 and the Commission's
                 request for public comment on the issue of
                 market fragmentation.
                 
                 Both of these measures will be put out for
                 public comment tomorrow.
