Commission Moves Up Completion Date for Investor Survey

Washington, DC, May 21, 2001 – The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it has already received over 3,000 responses to its on-line survey concerning investor use of electronic media in making investment decisions. In light of this fact, the survey will end earlier than originally anticipated. Investors still intending to participate should respond to the survey before close of business on May 25, 2001.

The Commission appreciates the insights and opinions expressed by investors and will carefully consider the information generated by the survey.
