EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification (Version 1.1)

The EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification (Version 1.1) document describes the valid structure and content of the Reg A Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) Extensible Markup Language (XML) submission types. The EDGAR Reg A XML Technical Specification (Version 1.1) provides, to those filers that are interested, a basis for creating Reg A XML submissions. The expectation is that software developers, working on behalf of filers, will be able to construct software that will generate a Reg A XML submission that can be successfully processed by the EDGAR system.

EDGAR Release 15.2.e.3 introduced the following changes to the Reg A XML Technical Specification:

• The schema file "eis_RegA_1A_Filer.xsd" was updated to make the fields "publiclyTradedCommonEquity", "publiclyTradedPreferredEquity", "publiclyTradedDebtSecurities", "securitiesActExcemption", "unregisteredSecuritiesAct" optional for the submission form types "1-A", "1-A/A" and "1-A POS".
