Comments in Opposition to SEC File Number SR-NYSE-99-47 (NYSE Rule 431)
     
Attached are my comments on the proposed rules relating to the proposed 
changing of margin requirements for short term traders of securities on 
the New York Stock Exchange.  I am submitting them in Microsoft Word 87 
format.  While you have apparently elected to not allow electronic 
comments on this issue, I believe that determination is inappropriate 
and electronic comments should be allowed.
