Date: 12/16/1999 5:33 PM Subject: Proposed regulation FD I hope the proposed rule change requiring full disclosure by companies is adopted by the SEC. It is outrageous that companies are allowed to selectively disclose important information to institutions and brokerages while investors not affiliated with those institutions often have to wait for a press release. I believe it allows those brokerages to trade on what amounts to inside information. People who invest through brokerages are no better than people investing without brokerages. Please resist the enormous pressure that will be applied by the brokers and their lobbyists. The rules can be simple and businesses will have no trouble implementing the new rules.
