Date: 03/21/2000 11:17 PM Subject: public disclosure I understand Mr. Levitt and the SEC are considering changes in the public disclosure of information that heretofore has been "leaked" to insiders (analyst's) first and the public second, or third. As an individual investor, I feel the SEC has the duty to level the playing field for all investors. We, as stockholders, have every right to know whatever material events might be affecting our portfolios just as quickly as large brokers or anyone else for that matter. I look to you, Mr. Levitt, to pursue these changes as you have the power to set things right. Help us get a fair shake on Wall Street. Collectively, we individual investors have a lot of money at stake here and most of our retirement depends on our investments, not social security. I work as hard as any broker to choose the companies with which to invest and I deserve to know if one of those company's is going to announce a material fact at the same time as anyone else. My boy's college educations depend on it also. Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Patricia Simons Boise, Idaho
