Date: 12/21/1999 8:32 AM Subject: FD This rule is a positive step toward opening the channels of communication between investors and companies. Right now, brokers are a choke point for this information, which costs nothing for the broker but costs something for the potential investor in terms of delays in information and fees brokers charge. Why should publicly-held companies give out private information to brokers BEFORE they give it to their own stockholders? What have stockbrokers done to merit this extraordinary privilege, for which they charge dearly? Please implement this rule in a reasonable amount of time. Tom Morgan, P.E.
