Author: "Haywood Meade" Date: 03/22/2000 9:13 AM Subject: SEC (S7-31-99) Proposed Regulation FD "I don't trust the stock market." Sounds familiar? How can we encourage individuals to invest in their own economy when such "under the table" tactics as insider trading and selective disclosure are going own? This is nothing but pure stinking greed! All investors and our economy suffer when "legal" theft is allowed. On the other hand, all investors and our economy prosper together when corporate information is shared publicly. So Mr. Levitt, you have my full support for this regulation and I encourage you to do everything you can to see that it passes. Thank you H. Meade P.S. I also propose that severe sanctions for corporations and their CEO's that violate Proposed Regulation FD be adopted.
