Dear SEC,
I am writing in suppport of S7-31-79 the proposed 
Selective Disclosure and Insider Trading Rule.
My name is Harlan Lewin and I am a Professor of 
Political Science at San Diego State University and 
Department Chair.
I am also a small investor as are many of my 
colleagues.
We believe not only from a private interest point of 
view but also from an informed public interest point of 
view that the adoption of this new rule is long overdue 
since the immense increase in public participation in 
the market. This rule will not only level the playing 
field but increase the efficiency of the market.
