Date: 03/22/2000 9:07 AM Subject: Proposed recommendation FD Gentlemen: I support your position regarding this issue. As never before in our economy, individual investors are attempting to gain knowledge to invest by and for themselves in both the "old" and "new" economy. This has only been made possible by the wealth of information now available to them. The more they are educated, the more the market will remain stable. I note a remarkable number of new investors daily who are pathetically uneducated. They are trying, but have a long way to go to catch up with the brokerage houses who husband insider information. In general, the market weights against the small investor and any attempt a leveling the playing field will be extraordinarily valuable to our economy in the long run. Thank you for your time in reviewing and considering this message. Mary L. Hornsby, CFO, Lawrence Group Architects.
