Date: 12/16/1999 6:44 PM Subject: Proposed Regulation FD Mr. Levitt, I applaud your proposal for open and fair disclosure of material information by public companies. It is a disgrace that our trusted public companies still selectively release their information; I believe with the obvious intention to have the favored source of the information give a nice spin to the data or risk losing access to more advance information in the future. Even an otherwise very admirable company as Coca-Cola regularly engages in selective releasing of material information. They do not allow wide contemporaneous access to their analysts' conference calls. As an individual investor, attempting to save for my family's retirement years, I appreciate your efforts. I hope any lobbying by Wall Street brokers or analysts does not derail this proposal. thanks - Jack Greene
