Subject: Proposed Regulation FD: File No. S7-31-99 Date: 07/12/2000 4:23 PM The selective release of information to analysts is an impedement to a free market economy. In the age of the internet, more investors are choosing to personally research their investments and take more control of their economic futures. Restricting access of pertinent fiancial data and filtering it to the public through an analysts "spin" is both unnecessary and unwanted. If this information is released in an open forum then anyone who chooses to seek the advice of analysts will have that option. The growing balance of investors, myself included, who seek to make investment decisions based on their own analysis expect equal access to information and a level playing field for all investors.
