Date: 03/21/2000 12:56 PM Subject: Support for proposed Selective Disclosure Rule We strongly believe the SEC simply must help 'level the playing field' for small investors. Those of us who strive to do our own 'due diligence' should be assisted by your agency in procuring all available (and accurate) information to aid us in making our investment decisions. We are experienced investors, semi-retired, and using the Internet as the tool it was meant to be. While we occasionally need a broker to do things for us, we no longer rely on them for advice. Please help to ensure companies will release their information in an accurate and timely fashion, to all. This will remove the temptation to brokers to slant their opinions and advice to the detriment of individual's financial well-being. Thank you for the opportunity to submit our opinion on this important ruling. Alice and Russell Bartoo 567 Buckskin Ln Goldendale, WA 98620
