Gentlepeople, In reviewing the SEC/Bush proposal I feel that there are no teeth in this oversight committee. If you are there for the public good you need to be more aggressive and attack the root. Unfortunately ethics is the heart of the issue and that is learned at an early age at home. Therefore, the regulations and penalties must be strong enough to deter those who cheat and you need to protect those who rely on the information published. Otherwise our financial markets as we know them are finished. This investor has been burned on Enron and some others. If the big guys got burned, as they did, how do you expect the small investor's like me to fair with out the same data, time to research, and access to management as the big guys have? I urge you to rethink and toughen the stance taken on accounting, disclosure, penalties, and prosecution. Thanks, Mark Quiello 718-997-6787
