As you consider rules and/or legislation to combat fraud/illegal acts 
it might be wise to consider whether or not lying to an auditor should 
receive any attention. Would the public interest be strengthened if it 
was illegal to lie or conceal material information from the 
independent auditor? Just a private thought which may or may not be 
shared by my employer. Seems we could/should give more attention to 
the "bad guys"!
