To Whom It May Concern:
     
I am definitely IN FAVOR of the proposed subject rule making concerning 
Political Contributions by Certain Investment Advisors.  However, I believe that
the proposed rule making would be much improved if the the terms were tightened 
further, the prohibited time periods were much longer and the proportion of 
persons/firms encompassed were much larger.  In my view, separating the 
operation of government from the operation of financial markets is no less 
important to the continued success of our society than separating church from 
state.
     
(Also, if I may add, I think that you would be much more successful in receiving
public comments on your rule making proposals if your solicitation for public 
comment and the outlines of the proposals were more prominently displayed on 
your web site.)
