Within current rules, investor votes have literally zero impact on 
corporate governance.  Witness the Disney debacle.  Something must be done 
to restore the influence of the owners rather than the will of entrenched 
management.  A good start would be to have some choice in voting.  That is, 
more candidates than slots to fill.  Otherwise, a single yes vote elects 
the unopposed candidate.
