Shareholders must have the right to select directors of the companies they own. The greed of corporate executives and directors has recently been amply demonstrated and there is no reason to suppose that their greed has been reduced by past events. It is the responsibility, therefore, of the SEC to promulgate rules that return corporate governance to the hands of the owners - the shareholders. The shareholders of the world will thank you.
