I certainly understand the concern of turning approval of directors into a circus like political elections. The proposed rules (which I would like to see go farther) have plenty of provisions to make sure challenges to the board's decisions will not be stepped into lightly. It should be abundantly clear to anyone that the present system of unchallenged board members and rampant cronyism has had a deleterious effect on shareholder confidence, and a mechanism to challenge unqualified "independent" board members is dearly needed. I strongly urge you to adopt this new rule with all deliberate speed. Sincerely, Mike Myers PO Box 1723 Lemon Grove, CA 91946 _________________________________________________________________ Check out MSN PC Safety & Security to help ensure your PC is protected and safe. http://specials.msn.com/msn/security.asp
