S7-19-03From: Mains, Kim [kim.mains@hp.com] Sent: Monday, March 29, 2004 12:57 PM To: rule-comments@sec.gov Subject: S7-19-03 Boards of Directors work for the stockholders. The stockholders should be able to ensure people that represent their interests are on the board. I wholeheartedly support any effort to make it easier for the stockholders to nominate directors apart from the current board and have them appear on the official ballot. The incumbent directors must not be able to control and manipulate the election process to ensure only their candidates have a chance. Boards and CEOs must be held accountable. Please open up this process to make that happen by allowing stockholders to nominate Board candidates that appear on the official Board ballot.
