S7-19-03:From: Santoro, John [John.Santoro@pfizer.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 04, 2003 12:55 PM To: 'rule-comments@sec.gov' Subject: S7-19-03: Dear Sir. I do not support rules to allow shareholders to use the company proxy to nominate directors. I believe such rules would degrade corporate elections to the same rank as political elections and damage the ability of corporate directors to use their judgments wisely and come to strong consensus. I believe this rule is not warranted given that corporations are still struggling with a Sarbanes-Oxley law passed in haste. Please do not burden corporations with more rules and regulations. Directors who are not responsive can be removed or chastened through regulations already in place. Let them work first and do not pile more burdens on the generators of prosperity in this nation. Thank you John Santoro
