Dear Sirs:
     
I would advise against the current movement to approve Mutual Fund 
Profiles instead of full Prospectuses.  In order to protect the mutual 
fund customers, we need more information, not less.
     
I believe that human nature has not changed.  The same conditions that 
resulted in the Investment Company Act of 1940 can arise again if the 
Regulatory Agencies of the Government become lax in this area.
     
Require the Mutual Fund Companies to write more easily understood FULL 
PROSCPECTUSES.  We are not ultimately served by watered down, glossy, 
Madison-Avenue advertisements masquerading as profiles.
