Subject: Independent  Auditors?

This mornings Washington Post reminded me about this issue. I am a retired 
Colonel in the Air Force and when in college I majored in accounting. The last 
15 years in the AF I worked in budgeting. I believe that S7-13-00 addresses the 
independence of auditors and totally believe that no firm should provide 
consultants to firms that they audit. That's having the wolf guarding the 
chicken house. I wish Chairman Levitt Jr. all the success in establishing this 
rule.
