Subject: S7-09-00 Date: 06/27/2000 12:11 AM AOL 5.0 Re: S7-09-00 The SEC proposes calculating income taxes by using the highest tax bracket of 39.6% saying it would be too cumbersome to include all the lower brackets. This year the 39.6% bracket applies only to income for couples and individuals that exceed $288,350.00. The majority of citizens do not fall in this bracket. Vanguard Funds has shown that after tax data can be reported for all brackets. It would help the majority of tax payers if the SEC revised its proposal to do the same.
