Subject: Disclosure of Mutual Fund After-Tax Returns Author: Joe Capik Date: 03/30/2000 10:28 AM This is a great rule to apply. But to really have it make sense to individual investors, and to give the fund companies a fair shake, mandate that they show the after tax return for the various tax rates. This shouldn't be a big problem for the giants of the industry (ie. Fidelity). Give this class of Family unti l2/31/00. Then maybe the intermediate type family (Strong) could have until 6/30/01. Finally, small fund families (Artisan) couls have until 12/31/01.
