Dear SEC,
     
As a proponent of timely financial disclosure by public corporations to 
individual shareholders, I strongly object to the elimination of Financial Data 
Schedules from EDGAR filings.  This useful feature makes it easier for 
individual investors to keep a running tally on a corporation's performance.  It
permits a quick check on accounting earnings and revenue representations stated 
within quarterly and annual filings.    Without FDS, it shall be easier for 
corporations to obfuscate the truth.  The individual investor is poorly served 
by the elimination of FDS.
