RE: Petition for Rulemaking (SEC File No. 4-461) From: Bryan Case [bryan.case@albertsons.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 4:25 PM To: 'rule-comments@sec.gov' Cc: 'Information@concernedshareholders.com' Subject: RE: Petition for Rulemaking (SEC File No. 4-461) I strongly support the efforts of the Committee of Concerned Shareholders and James McRitchie with respect to their Petition for Rulemaking (SEC File No. 4-461). It's beyond a joke that shareholders can own a majority of a corporatation's stock and not be able to elect a board of directors who represent their interests. DO WE LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES OR IRAQ? There is concern about whether "any old" stockholder should be given the responsibility to pick directors. Well, that's the entire point. Who else should be trusted to look out for the interests of the stockholders besides those who have the most to lose/gain by making the right decisions. Please update on where you are at in regards to action on this matter. Thank you, Bryan G. Case
