United Communications, Ltd., et. al, (Civil Action No. 95-0400 (JR)) (USDC/DC) The Securities and Exchange Commission announced that on August 9, 1996, The Honorable James Robertson, United States District Judge for the District of Columbia, entered a Final Judgment of Permanent Injunction and other Equitable Relief against defendants John C. Trimpin and Nevada Impound Management, Inc. The Final Judgment enjoins both defendants from violating Securities Act Sections 5 and 17(a), and Securities Exchange Act Sections 10(b) and 15(a) and Commission Rule 10b-5, and orders Trimpin to disgorge $250,000. Defendants, without admitting or denying the allegations of the Complaint, consented to entry of the Final Judgment. The Commission's Complaint, filed February 27, 1995, alleged that these and other defendants offered and sold unregistered securities of limited liability companies purportedly organized to develop wireless cable television systems, through unregistered high pressure telemarketing sales organizations, and misrepresented and omitted material facts concerning the risks and rewards of the ventures.
