Avoiding Financial Scams and Affinity Fraud
Staff from the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, Office of Minority and Women Inclusion and Philadelphia Regional Office, participated in an outreach event for the Second Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Over 430 people joined the virtual webinar to learn how to protect themselves from financial fraud, Covid-19 scams and affinity fraud. NASP is a national organization that is committed to helping people of color and women achieve inclusion in the financial services industry.

The SEC's Pride Alliance Committee celebrated Pride Month with several virtual events, including a fireside on LGBT issues in the workplace and a webinar on various ways that non-LGBT people can be allies in the workplace for their LGBT co-workers.

African American History Month Celebration
In honor of African American History Month, the SEC welcomed esteemed scholar and award-winning filmmaker Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. to discuss his new documentary series, “Reconstruction: America After the Civil War” at the agency’s headquarters in Washington, DC.
