I am writing as an American citizen and investor to comment on the SECs reconsideration of the Conflict Minerals Rule. Although the rule does not solve the entirety of the complicated problem of ethical sourcing, it has raised industry responsibility and investor awareness, and is an important component of maintaining our human rights standards. I do not want our country to move backward, nor do I want the Congolese people to be exploited. It would be a mistake to repeal or stay the Conflict Minerals 1502 requirements.
