Conflict Minerals reporting causes us many hours of lost time. We are a 113 year old steel service center that receives requests to complete Conflict Mineral statements from thousands of customers. Each one of these is a bit different. Plus, companies required to report under Dodd Frank have added in-house requirements to the reporting which have nothing to do with the intent. Along with all the other regulatory issues placed on small businesses, Conflict Mineral reporting serves little or no purpose except to waste time that could be put to more productive use and the hiring of additional staff.
