Subject: File No. SR-OCC-2024-001
From: Berto M

To whom it may concern, I would like to write this comment in opposition of SR-OCC-2024-001 rule. Market transparency is becoming less transparent to household investors in a more seemingly rigged or unfair market. The loss of trust in the markets is becoming more evident as rules favoring short sellers are attempting to come to fruition allowing companies to illegally manipulate the market in their favor. By implementing this rule those short sellers (who know the risks involved) get to" have their cake and eat it too". If there is volatility in the markets it is caused by these same bad actors and reducing margin requirements further aids in their manipulation. As a household investor, I want transparency in the markets. I want to have the ability to invest my hard earned money into companies that I believe have longevity. Allowing unchecked risk exposure only benefits one group and household investors are not in that group. This rule is the antithesis to transparency and should not be implemented. thank you for taking the time to read my concerns about this proposed rule and know I firmly oppose it. B.
