Dear SEC

I am writing to express concerns about the proposed rule change (SR-OCC-2024-001), as I believe it may adversely affect retail traders and investors. The suggested alterations could potentially facilitate market manipulation by larger institutional investors, creating an uneven playing field to the detriment of retail investors.

Furthermore, these changes may compromise market transparency, hindering retail investors from making well-informed decisions. The resulting lack of clarity could also expose retail investors to exploitation by larger counterparts. Additionally, the proposed modifications may increase costs for retail investors, who might face elevated expenses for market data and information that is currently accessible at no or lower cost.

Moreover, the anticipated reduction in competition may disadvantage smaller market participants, limiting options and raising costs for retail investors. In conclusion, I strongly urge the SEC to thoroughly assess the potential ramifications of the proposed rule change and take measures to safeguard the interests of all market participants.

Sincerely,

Sean Davies
