Whenever the rules get in the way regulators want to change them to benefit themselves. I am greatly disturbed that the OCC wantes to change the rules on margin calls. So far it has worked to their benefit but now when it may not they want a rule change. Please after 3 years of commenting on how corrupt the market is nothing has changed. There are millions of investors who will not like this proposal and if passed call into question the actual role of the SEC in providing cover to MSM. We already know they turn a blind eye to spoofing,naked shorting, market minipulation using algos.
