Dear governing body,

I am a individual retail investor and I appreciate the opportunity you have provided to allow for feedback as it relates to SR-OCC-2024-001 34-99393. "Proposed rule change by The Options Clearing Corporation concerning its process for adjusting certain parameters in its proprietary system for calculating margin requirements during periods when the products it clears and the markets it serves experience high volatility". Why is there parts of this that are redacted to the public? If this rule is to ascertain parameters in the OCC's proprietary system for calculating margin requirements during high volatility, why are we not provided with specific details on how these parameters will be calculated? This proposal could have a negative impact on retail investors. The proposed changes could lead to an increase in market manipulation and reduce transparency in the market which would make it even more difficult for retail investors to make informed decisions about our investments. We urge the SEC to carefully consider the potential consequences of the proposed changes and to take steps to ensure that the interests of all market participants are protected.

Respectfully,

Christopher Byer
