Hello SEC, I am a foreign investor, not American but investing in the US stock market. It's come to my attention over the last few years just how absurd the US stock market system actually is. Hedgefunds using AI and algorithms to game the system. Highspeed trading to scalp prices. Spoofing. PFOF. Naked short selling, which amounts to selling counterfeit shares.Corrupt SEC members like Hester Pierce fighting for companies instead of retail. The allowance of companies to become so overleveraged that they have the potential to crash markets. All allowed under SEC enforcement. This new rule SR-OCC-2024-001 is a severe danger to the system, by allowing hedgefunds to run dangerous amounts of leverage without consequence. This must not be allowed. Clearing members must be held in check by more stringent margin requirements, not less.
