Please reconsider this act. Adding additional leverage to overleveredged hedge fund positions will create positions detrimental to a stable marketplace. Please recreate legislation that reduces leverage and margin during times of high risk/turbulence. Smart legislation ! Protect Main Street not Wall Street. Yes funds may fail, yes Main Street may lose money because of that , but consider the overall health of the markets. Bad actors get eliminated from the market for making bad investments.
