Dear SEC, I am strongly against the recent rule change offering by the OCC. Rule SR-OCC-2024-001 allows certain firms to have decreased margin requirements during times of high volatility. This incentivizes future reckless behavior and shows the rules don’t apply to everyone. This completely goes against the natural functions of the market. Anytime a retail investor makes a bad trade, they pay for it by accepting the loss. Whenever a larger firm is unable to win, they change the rules. This is anti-American, anti-free market and will eventually dissolve all trust in the US stock market. Please do not allow this rule change to occur. Sincerely, Christopher M
