July 26, 2022 I'm just an unsophisticated retail investor, but to me this reads as if the OCC did a poor job of managing their risk and are now asking for permission to bail themselves out using the pension funds of hardworking Americans instead of the financial institutions that got them into this mess. Sketchy They will access pension funds as opposed to selling Clearing Members collateral under stressed and volatile markets????? Honestly, if y'all had done your job in the first place, these greedy thugs wouldn't have created such a mess in the first place. There is no reason they shouldn't be able to take their losses, as that charlatan Steve Cohen once said, \"Trading is tough game\". Sucks OCC is final bag holder, but enough with the can kicking. I've passed this along to one of our town retirement boards for their legal review. Hopefully, they'll share their findings with the other boards in town to ensure their assets are safe.
