The most plausible reason for the SEC not to have approved GBTC as an ETF yet is one a citizen in an honest, functioning, government does not wish to consider. Clearly, there is no market based, rational reason for the unfair treatment GBTC has received from the SEC by slow walking due to what at best is political pressure.
