Dear SEC, I’m writing to support the conversion of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (Symbol: GBTC), currently the world’s largest Bitcoin fund, to the first Spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States. I am troubled by the inconsistency with approving a futures based BTC ETF but not a spot product. I live in NY, and am a current owner of GBTC. Conversion to an ETF would help current owners of GBTC to more closely track underlying NAV, and own BTC without the need for a deep technical understanding. The SEC should demonstrate consistency rather than the clear political posturing on display in its current policy.
