Dear SEC, I’m writing to support the conversion of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (Symbol: GBTC), currently the world’s largest Bitcoin fund, to the first Spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States. I believe that Bitcoin and the idea of Bitcoin, or a decentralized system to move value without intermediaries is a big deal. Yes people will be scammed, people are scammed now without BTC, people were scammed long before BTC existed, but people also need to learn how to protect themselves and be their own custodians. BTC pushes this education and the self custodial way of life forward. BTC is the future. It needs to be harnessed and protected by the US government. I’d feel a lot better as a US citizen if I knew my government protected and supported the idea of BTC. Id also feel a lot better if BTC was used as a reserve to back the US Dollar. The US Dollar needs to continue to lead the world. The US needs to lead human innovation. Innovating and regulating Blockchain technology and allowing the BTC spot ETF is the next step.
