Dear SEC, I’m writing to support the conversion of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (Symbol: GBTC), currently the world’s largest Bitcoin fund, to the first Spot Bitcoin ETF in the United States. Your refusal to let this happen is out of a misplaced idea that you are responsible for protecting my investment. It’s my money to lose, not yours. The SEC should put warning labels on the volatility of crypto, and highlight the risks – but at the end of the day it’s my risk to take. Anyone who has been in crypto for any reasonable length of time (four years for me) has already experienced the roller coaster. And LOVES it, or has already left it. Get out of the way of progress and innovation and approve the Bitcoin ETF, please.
