There is absolutely no reason that one person, especially the chairman of the NYSE, with all his knowledge, connections, and outside influencers, should be granted the ability to solely halt trading. With his connections to big money donors, having likely influenced him in the past, I cannot trust that he would act in my best interest. Granting one person this power should not be allowed.
