As a retail investor I find the changes to this rule absolutely sickening. When Hedge funds and market makers begin to lose money on a trade or investment they now have a ripcord to halt trading of that investment indefinitely. I see that they have specified it will only be 2 days, but with it being at the NYSE will, what is stopping them from freezing 2 days and within minutes simply freezing it again? It seems more and more like making money in the market is an elite club that I have no part in.
