I am writing to express outrage and disbelief at the proposed change as seen in the rule number of the subject line. To have the audacity to pretend that allowing those who control the market and its flow the option to disable buying and selling for retail "for our protection" is beyond condescending. How can we, as retail participants in the market be expected to have any faith in the integrity of the market if behind the scenes decisions can cut off our already highly limited options? Do not assume for a moment that people are unaware of the already suspect nature of the stock market, tipping the scales further into the hands of corporate interest endangers not only retail interest, but the value of the dollar as a whole. Corporations receive enough protection under our government, try for a change representing the common people.
