I am deeply troubled by what appears to be a last-minute attempt to rescue over-leveraged short-sellers from their obligations.
If this maneuver succeeds, it will be final proof to me that the stock market is essentially legalized racketeering, and as such I will withdraw all investments in the US financial system and take my chances elsewhere. I am certain there are countless others who see this the same way, and who would respond similarly.
This shady backdoor escape for overleveraged hedge funds must be denied for there to remain any semblance of fair play in these markets. Please and thank you, good day.
