Dear Sir/Madam,
As an international retail investor who invests in the US markets and appreciates the unmatched opportunities it presents, I urge the SEC to withdraw this proposal immediately and without delay.
This proposal is a disgrace and a slap in the face to all retail investors out there, US based or otherwise.
US markets have been suffering a long time in the hands of the greedy and powerful few who set up systems such as naked shorting selling, PFOF, or dark pool trading abuses etc etc.
Instead of pushing for actual, significant, change to fundamentals to curb this corruption and collusion you put forward proposals that would enable them to not only continue but to get even bolder (for example, be removing the infinity risk that comes with short selling).
This same policy has already been proposed two times before under different guises because the morally bankrupt white collar thieves on Wall Street are terrified that the consequences of their decisions will catch up to them. They are scared that they might now have to actually work instead of just take, that they will have to work with \"normal\" profit margins (includes losing sometimes) and that they will no longer be able to suck dry the working class/retail investor/normal folk who still have a little faith and are proud that their country and their markets are world-leading. They fear that those mechanisms of capitalism which once made the US so prosperous will escape their stagnating influence and begin to recognize them for the treasonous parasites they are.
I would ask that you help deliver a just reward for their treachery by denying this and any other rule changes they propose to further promote their systemic corruption. They are a sickness which must be burned out from the roots and never permitted to return - for what began as but a single foul seed long ago has now become the single greatest threat to all American (and more) livelihoods.
This is a turning point in history and you have a chance to step on the right side of it. To be clear, I mean the retail side calling for fair, regulated and transparent markets. Up to now, this commission has been ineffective and has done nothing to rid us of the crooked, entitled hands on Wall Street and any other corners they are spawning from. People are sick and tired and this commission and its actions are being watched. Good and Honesty WILL triumph over greed and corruption in the end and when people will be looking back at on this commission they will be able to see which side they chose to represent.
Thank you and hope you do GOOD work.
Sincerely,
Khan Enas
