I am a small retail investor and would like to express my opinion regarding this new proposed rule SR-NSCC-2021-801. I think this rule would create accountability for those who engage in the short selling/ stock borrowing program. I would like to see this rule passed and implemented post haste. Please consider very strong penalties for false reporting or attempts to hide the true positions of the hedge funds.
