The American stock exchange has been infested with corruption and unchecked avarice, enabled by lax enforcement of current regulations and inadequate government oversight. A free and fair market can never remain as such when malicious actors conspire to exploit the people of our nation, who invest in good faith, to increase their already obscene hoard. Passing this rule will help restore confidence that the stock market is not a pyramid scheme for the ultra rich, but instead provides an avenue for hard working Americans to invest in companies they believe in.
